UNDERSTANDING YOUR CARE

A personal
approach to care.

Nasal breathing obstruction is reduced airflow through one or both nasal passages. It may feel like congestion or fullness and can cause mouth breathing, snoring, facial pressure, reduced sense of smell, disturbed sleep, or recurring nosebleeds. Common contributors include allergies or infection, a deviated septum, enlarged turbinates, nasal polyps, nasal valve narrowing, or prior injury.

An evaluation reviews your symptoms, health history, triggers, and any injury or previous treatment, followed by an examination inside the nose; testing such as nasal endoscopy or imaging may be considered when appropriate. Care is tailored to the cause and may include allergy or inflammation treatment, temporary nasal support, or a procedure such as septoplasty, turbinate reduction, polyp removal, or nasal valve repair. A consultation can clarify which options fit your anatomy and goals, along with their potential risks and benefits.
