A personal
approach to care.
A brow lift, also called a forehead lift, is cosmetic surgery that raises the soft tissue and skin of the forehead. It can address brows that have moved downward, upper-eyelid hooding related to a low brow, horizontal forehead lines, or frown lines between the eyebrows. These changes may make someone look tired, sad, or angry. A brow lift changes the brow and forehead area; it does not reshape the eyes or correct every eyelid concern.
Consultation begins with a review of your health, medications, prior procedures, smoking status, and goals. The clinician examines your forehead and brow at rest and with facial expressions, considers skin, hairline, symmetry, and eyelid position, and may take photographs. Together, you can discuss whether observation, nonsurgical options, brow lift surgery, eyelid surgery, or another approach best fits your concerns. Recommendations should be individualized, with potential scars, numbness, asymmetry, hair changes, bleeding, infection, and anesthesia risks explained.
