A personal
approach to care.
Rhinoplasty is surgery that changes the shape or size of the nose. It may address a bump, drooping or upturned tip, uneven nostrils, or facial balance. It can also improve nasal breathing when structure is affected by a deviated septum, injury, a birth difference, or another problem. Because the nose supports appearance and airflow, small changes can affect both. Possible risks include bleeding, infection, breathing problems, scarring, changes in smell, an uneven result, or further surgery.
A consultation covers your goals, medical history, nasal symptoms, prior procedures, medicines, and relevant health factors. The clinician examines the inside and outside of your nose, considers facial proportions, and may take photographs to discuss options and limitations. If breathing is a concern, evaluation addresses nasal function as well as appearance. Your anatomy, healing considerations, and priorities help shape an individualized plan. You can also discuss alternatives, expected changes, risks, and whether rhinoplasty is appropriate for you.
